Choose the tractor for the semi-trailer and route
A tractor head pulls a semi-trailer; it is not an agricultural tractor. A tractor-only quote does not automatically include a trailer. Supply the trailer type, loading arrangement, route, gradients, daily distance and required steering side before comparing prices.
Match fifth-wheel and kingpin dimensions, coupling height, brake and electrical connections, engine, gearbox and axle ratio. A tipper trailer may also need a compatible hydraulic supply. For natural-gas trucks, check actual fuel infrastructure and the offered system rather than assuming diesel and gas versions suit the same work.
Compare HOWO, SHACMAN and FAW on the same sheet
HOWO 371, SHACMAN F3000 / X3000 and FAW J6P / JH6 are useful model families to compare, not a universal price or reliability ranking. A newer-looking cab does not establish a better engine, verified mileage or lower lifetime operating cost. Identify the chassis, engine and gearbox on each offer.
Compare age where documented, reported mileage and its evidence, driveline, frame, tires, fifth wheel, cab and local component support. For refurbishment, separate mechanical repairs from paint and write which parts will be repaired, replaced or retained. Two dated offers need the same inspection, preparation and delivery scope before one can be called cheaper.
Ask for six distinct quotation line items
No current RUICHI selling price is established by this article. Ask for a dated vehicle-specific offer in one currency. Separate equipment, preparation, inspection, origin logistics, freight and destination costs. Record the payment schedule, validity, named delivery point and exclusions. An unquoted cost is unknown, not zero.
- Vehicle: identified chassis, condition and agreed configuration; trailer included or excluded
- Preparation: mechanical work, tires, body or cab work and acceptance evidence
- Inspection: scope, independent examiner if agreed, fees and written results
- Origin: inland delivery, export handling, packing and loading; identify already-included items
- Freight and insurance: route, shipping method, dated rate and applicable coverage
- Destination: port fees, clearance, duties, taxes and inland delivery checked with a local agent
A port quotation is not the final on-site cost
FOB, CFR and CIF are sea or inland-waterway rules, not automatic door-to-door delivery. Name the ports and Incoterms edition. For container shipments, consider FCA with the forwarder rather than applying FOB to every shipment. Cost allocation and transfer of transport risk are different questions.
CIF includes agreed freight and insurance to the named destination port but does not mean risk transfers only when the vehicle arrives. Confirm coverage and exclusions in the contract. Ask a local agent to check import, registration, port and inland-delivery costs for the actual vehicle; the website does not provide destination compliance approval.
Build a landed-cost comparison without invented prices
Use this calculation method, not a fictional RUICHI quotation: total ready-to-use cost = purchase and preparation not already included + agreed inspection + origin logistics not already included + applicable freight and insurance + destination port, clearance, duties, taxes and inland delivery. Add separately any agreed work needed after arrival. Never add the same charge twice.
Fill the worksheet with real dated supplier, freight and local-agent quotes. Leave unresolved amounts marked pending and show the currency and conversion date if conversion is necessary. Compare the same delivery point for each supplier. Send RUICHI the job, trailer, quantity, preferred model, condition and destination, then request a matched itemized offer.
